One caveat to using herbals to treat headaches is that you should never combine herbal remedies with traditional medicine as there can be a reaction. Another herbal remedy that works to cure headaches is rosemary. When you use rosemary as a massage oil, it should be mixed with a carrier oil such as vegetable oil so that it does not cause irritation on the skin. You should put one ounce of carrier oil to about five drops of rosemary in order to get a good massage oil to treat headaches.

Before you use any of these herbal remedies, you should talk to your doctor about a possible interaction between medications that you may be taking already.
